AFA are actively seeking new and experienced foster carers to provide a nurturing, loving and caring home for children living in Derbyshire.

Interested in fostering in Derbyshire?

If you’ve been thinking about becoming a foster carer, you’ve come to the right place! As a foster carer at AFA Fostering, you’ll be trained and supported to care for some of the most vulnerable children in society. Many of these children have suffered abuse. As a consequence they cannot live with their families. Fostering can be challenging, but is equally very rewarding. Especially when children achieve and develop in areas where they have struggled previously.

Children in need of foster care come from all different backgrounds and ages. We need to find safe homes for babies right through to older teenagers. All have gone through some extreme and often unkind treatment. These children deserve the stability of living with a loving and caring family. With the right foster family, they can thrive and be supported to achieve to the best of their abilities.

Where in Derbyshire do we need foster carers?

There are children and young people across Derbyshire in need of care. Therefore, we’re looking for foster carers in Derby, Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Ripley, Alfreton, Swadlincote, Chesterfield and surrounding villages.
