Fostering in Northampton
and Northamptonshire

AFA Fostering are actively recruiting foster carers in the Northamptonshire area, including the towns of Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Northampton, Rushden, Daventry, Brackley and Towcester.

We are seeking dedicated, open minded carers who can provide love, care and security for children and young people who have experienced trauma and challenging circumstances in their lives.

Could you be a foster carer in Northamptonshire?

We are keen to hear from local people in Northampton and Northamptonshire who can care for children in communities and areas with which they are familiar. It is vital that children who are not able to live with their families are given the opportunity to attend local schools and keep links with their local areas. Recruiting local carers helps us to provide this.

We need foster carers who can care for children of any age, from babies right through to teenagers. We also need carers for sibling groups and asylum-seeking children from abroad.

What support will you get?

Supporting foster carers to provide the very best care that they can is crucial for AFA Fostering. We understand that we need to invest time and energy into offering high quality, bespoke support packages for our foster carers. We offer individual packages of support with high levels of contact. We are always here to help our carers work through any issues that they may have in caring for foster children.

AFA prides itself on being there to our support carers 24:7. Each fostering family has their own Placement Manager, local to Northamptonshire, to help and support the whole family. We also have a comprehensive training package, high quality supervision and regular activity days and consultation events. These are all provided through our dedicated Midlands office based in Castle Donington.
